Karen Rae Combs Ranch is a family-owned operation run by Tim and Karen Wall, dedicated to raising genetically superior Black Angus cattle. Our mission is to produce high-quality cattle that excel in performance, structure, and overall genetic potential.

The story behind the name of our ranch is deeply personal and rooted in family history. Karen, who was raised less than a mile from the ranch, maintained a close friendship with her high school friend, Vickie McGhee. Over the years, Karen and Tim visited Vickie and her husband, Gary, who has been a lifelong cattleman. It was during these visits that Tim's passion for cattle began to flourish. Riding around the ranch with Gary, Tim gained invaluable knowledge and appreciation for cattle and the land.

Karen often joked about her dream of moving to the area if a ranch ever became available. To their delight, the opportunity arose, and they made that dream a reality. Tim chose to name the ranch after Karen to honor her connection to the community and her roots in the area.

Today, Karen Rae Combs Ranch proudly stands as a first-generation seedstock producer, carrying forward a legacy of passion and dedication in the Angus cattle industry.

Karen and Tim Wall's journey began in St. Louis, where they both worked for Rug Doctor Corporation. Their dedication and hard work led Tim to the role of CEO and Karen to become the Director of Distribution. Their careers were marked by growth and achievement, setting the stage for their future ventures. After their successful tenure at Rug Doctor, the couple sought a new adventure and moved to California. There, they acquired a share in a resort in the picturesque Napa Valley. During their eleven years of ownership, Tim and Karen helped transform the resort through extensive renovations and service expansions.

Following a decade of revitalizing the resort, Tim and Karen decided to sell their interest and retire to Branson, Missouri. Their retirement took a new turn when they discovered the ranch that would become Karen Rae Combs Ranch. Driven by a shared dream and a connection to the area, they purchased the ranch and embarked on their journey as first-generation seedstock producers, combining their business knowledge with a passion for cattle.

Today, Karen Rae Combs Ranch stands as a testament to their dedication, blending their diverse experiences with a commitment to raising top-quality Angus cattle.

Tim and Karen Wall are proud parents to five wonderful children: Mandy, Nick, Josh, Cameryn, and Kyle. Their family is the heart of their ranching journey, with their kids and grandkids often visiting the ranch to share in the joys of country life. The ranch serves as a gathering place where family members can connect with nature, enjoy outdoor activities, and make cherished memories together. Whether it's helping with ranch chores or simply appreciating the scenic beauty of the land, the time spent here strengthens their family bonds and fosters a deep love for the land and livestock.

Throughout their careers in corporate America, Tim and Karen have always embraced the philosophy that "the customer is paramount." Whether they were managing Rug Doctor’s rental services, overseeing the operations of a resort, or running a golf course, they consistently prioritized customer satisfaction. This dedication to exceptional service has been a core principle in all their endeavors.
